Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes what information SlateSense collects, how we use it, and your rights. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account data: email address, password (stored hashed), display name, avatar, and profile preferences such as favorite teams, favorite sportsbook, default stake size, and selected sports.
- Age confirmation: the timestamp at which you confirmed you are 21+ and in a permitted jurisdiction.
- Saved bets and activity: the bets you record inside the Service, your chat messages with Sharp AI, and any screenshots you upload.
- Billing information: handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser and OS, pages visited, referrer, timestamps — used for analytics and fraud prevention.
- Cookies and local storage: used for authentication sessions and basic analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, but doing so may break features such as staying signed in.
- Error telemetry: when the Service crashes, we may automatically collect a stack trace and recent context via Sentry to diagnose the issue.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Service;
- To personalize your experience (favorite team highlights, preferred sportsbook, default stake);
- To process payments and manage subscriptions;
- To respond to support requests and communicate with you;
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or violations of these Terms;
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Service Providers and Sharing
We share limited information with the third parties that power the Service:
- Supabase (auth + database hosting);
- Vercel (application hosting);
- Stripe (subscription billing);
- Anthropic (AI chat responses — your chat messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate a reply and are subject to Anthropic's terms);
- Sentry (error monitoring);
- The Odds API (sportsbook odds data; we send no user data to them).
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with advertising networks.
4. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required by law (for example, tax and payment records) to retain it longer.
5. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under CPRA.

6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), row-level access controls on our database, and limited employee access. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 21. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the US, your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the US.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the Service.
